Hallsley Toys For Tots Collects 3,375 Gifts
The 6th annual Hallsley Toys For Tots drive filled a US Marine Corps truck with 3,375 gifts for local in-need children and $1,500 for the charity. Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special trip to thank everyone for making the holidays a little brighter for others. Every year this event has made significant contributions to the Marines for their holiday charity event, with this year being the most ever collected at the event. A special thank you all Hallsley residents, especially to John and Brittany Toler, for making this night possible and to the sales team at Evergreen Enterprises for their generosity.
The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas and to play an active role in the development of one of our most valuable resources – our children.
The Richmond Marine Corps Reserve Unit is authorized by Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to conduct a local Toys for Tots campaign. Local Toys for Tots Campaign Coordinators conduct an array of activities throughout the year, which include golf tournaments, foot races, bicycle races and other voluntary events designed to increase interest in Toys for Tots, and concurrently generate toys and monetary donations.
